McDonalds on Tillary Street shuttered

Mickey D’s golden arches lost some of their Brooklyn luster after one of its longtime franchises was shuttered recently.

The McDonald’s on Tillary Street just off the Flatbush Avenue extension and a block east of the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge closed to little fanfare.

Windows in the venerable pioneering institution of fast food frenzy were papered over and a bleak sign stated they lost their lease.

Records show the property is owned by 240 Gold St Realty Co. with an address listed as 67 Duffield Street. The property owners could not be reached at press time.

Community Board 2 District Manager Robert Perris said there have been no applications or permits for either the demolition of the store or to commence construction on the site.

The site is not part of the Downtown Brooklyn rezoning, and thus sources involved in the revitalization of the area said they are also unaware of what will become of the property.
