If you’re looking for food that makes you feel good, look no further than Mill Basin Kosher Deli — home to not only the best comfort food in town, but to a true comfort classic: their mouth-watering pastrami sandwich.

“We have the best pastrami in town,” said Mark Schachner, owner of the beloved delicatessen on the Flatlands-Mill Basin border.

As such, the deli was voted “Best in Brooklyn” for the piled-high, overstuffed sandwich this year — and Schachner says it’s all owed to the eatery’s legacy.

“We’ve been here for 48 years,” he said. “Not only are we known for having the best pastrami sandwich in Brooklyn, but we’re also one of the very, very few kosher delis left in the five boroughs.”

Its award-winning pastrami sandwich aside, Mill Basin Deli offers up a wide mix of delicious kosher cuisines on the daily — from sandwiches, wraps and burgers to matzo ball soup, stuffed cabbage, latke chips and more.

And the business has managed to keep its old-school charm, even in changing times.

And since times are tough for all, Schachner said, Mill Basin Deli has a handful of specials running for the whole summer — including one free pound of hot pastrami with the purchase of one pound of pastrami and two pounds of any salad.

“Just to show the world how good it is,” he said.

Other summer specials include a hot dog and a knish for just $6.89.

Mill Basin Kosher Deli is located at 5823 Ave. T and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
