Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 71-year-old Maria Mercedes, who was reported missing by family on Wednesday evening.
Mercedes was last seen near her home on New Utrecht Avenue between 42nd and 43rd Street, within the confines of the 66th Precinct, at around 2 p.m. on Jan. 17.
Police describe the Borough Park woman as standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue pants and a black jacket.
