Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run in Crown Heights on Sunday as a homicide after determining the driver intentionally ran down his victim.

The motorist behind the wheel of a grey sedan used his driver’s side door as a battering ram to strike 30-year-old Crown Heights resident Kassim Matthews, opening the door into the victim as he sped south along Albany Avenue near Park Place at 5:30 p.m., according to police.

After crushing the victim, the driver smashed into several parked cars, before fleeing, cops said.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and rushed Matthews — who lived two blocks away from the scene — to Interfaith Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead, according to authorities.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing, according to police.

Anyone who provides police with information leading to an arrest can expect up to a $2,500 reward through the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers program.
