Pedro’s has gone 15th century.

The exterior wall of the down-and-dirty Spanish-American joint at Front and Jay streets in DUMBO is now covered with a vivid, 30-foot, Aztec-themed mural created by neighborhood artists Craig Anthony Miller and Tron Warren.

“I went back to ancient Mexican culture to get inspiration for the project,” said Miller, 37. “We decided to do an Aztec theme with a lot of reds and oranges.”

He also said he was inspired by the Mayans, who ruled over an extensive empire a few hundred years before those other guys.

Warren, 42, said he and Miller have gotten “nothing but love” from Pedro’s customers.

“I’m glad they have a mural out here,” said Jon Diamond of Williamsburg, who was drinking a Corona. “It’s fantastic.”

Whatever the decor, Pedro’s remains a neighborhood fixture thanks to its $5 Cuban.
