Murder charge in Sheepshead Bay stabbing

Police are charging a 27-year-old Bronx woman for the gruesome murder of 44-year-old Sheepshead Bay resident Michael Ricotta, who was found stabbed to death times in his Haring Street home last month.

The woman allegedly knifed Ricotta in his head and torso then called her 28-year-old roommate to come get her and bring her clean clothes at about 8:30 pm, police said.

The man allegedly arrived at the home between Avenues S and R in a taxi with new clothes in a bag, police said.

Video footage shows the two suspects leaving the home with two bags, from which officials recovered bloody clothing and a bloody knife after the arrests, according to authorities.

Cops are charging the woman with second-degree murder and weapons possession and the guy with tampering with evidence — they are scheduled to appear in December and April respectively.
