A shopkeeper stabbed the pistol-packing dufus who allegedly tried to rob a Fifth Avenue smoke shop in Park Slope on Sunday, according to police.
The 18-year-old suspect, armed with an imitation handgun, entered the storefront between Carroll and President streets before jumping behind the counter and ordering the employee to open the cash register at around 12:20 p.m, cops said.
Once both men were behind the store counter, the 25-year-old employee grabbed a knife and stabbed the suspect in the stomach, according to police.
The bloodied, would-be robber then ran out of the store empty-handed, before collapsing to the pavement a block away, cops said.
First responders arrived on the scene and took the suspect to Methodist hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, and arrested him on felony charges of robbery, weapons possession, and menacing, according to police.
