Police: Angry driver beats man on expressway

76th Precinct

Carroll Gardens-Cobble Hill–Red Hook

Bad accident

Cops arrested a 40-year-old man who they say had a bad case of road rage — beating up a man on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway on June 5.

The victim told police that he and the suspect had been involved in an accident near Kane Street at 9:30 am. The suspect then approached the victim’s car, dragged him from it, and punched him in the face several times, police reported.

The beat down caused $250 worth of damage to the victim’s suit, cops said.

Off his back

A bandit robbed a man on Otsego Street on June 6, taking his cellphone and the jacket off his back.

The victim told police that he was near Wolcott Street at 11:30 am when the crook bashed him on the back of the head and took his valuables.

Playing hooky

Police said a woman’s Baltic Street apartment was ransacked by her daughter’s friends on April 23, after they cut school to throw a party there.

Officials say the victim’s daughter cut school to hang out with her friends at her mother’s apartment between Hoyt and Bond streets at 1 pm. Her friends, however, were more interested in looting the place than hanging out, cops claim, and $2,339 worth of the victim’s diamond jewelry and electronics went missing.
