Fishing rod

Police are looking for the fishmonger who beat a man with a metal rod inside an Eighth Avenue market on May 26.

The victim told police he was arguing with the worker inside the seafood store between 45th and 46th streets at 7:45 p.m., when the grocer grabbed the stick and started whacking him with it, striking him several times.

When police arrived, the store was closed, cops said.

Tough love

Police cuffed a woman for allegedly beating her 9-year-old daughter with a sandal inside their 60th Street home on May 21.

The victim’s grandmother told police the suspect smacked the youngster with a rubber sandal on her back inside the apartment between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 7 a.m.

The suspect, 28, was cuffed that day on a felony assault charge, cops said.

Sharp words

Cops arrested a 41-year-old woman who they say slashed her ex-boyfriend inside his 61st Street home on May 27.

The victim, 35, told police he was engaged in an argument with his former flame inside the apartment between Sixth and Seventh avenues at 12:10 a.m., when their dispute turned bloody after the woman grabbed a kitchen knife and slashed his hand.

Paramedics transported the victim to Langone Medical Center for treatment, while the suspect was cuffed on a felony assault charge, cops said.

Mr. Knife Guy

A knife-wielding maniac slashed a man aboard an R train at 53rd Street on May 25.

The victim told police the suspect pulled a knife on him after he boarded the Manhattan-bound train at the New Utrecht station near Fourth Avenue at 8 p.m., and immediately lunged at him, carving up his arm and torso, before nabbing his wallet, along with the $600 it contained, and fleeing after the doors opened at 53rd Street.

The hapless straphanger disembarked further up the line at 45th Street, and hiked over to Lutheran Medical Center for treatment, cops said.
