Police are looking for a guy who slashed a woman with a sharp object on a Queens-bound 3 train on Tuesday night.

The 29-year-old victim told police she was traveling between the Atlantic Avenue and Eastern Parkway stops at 9:30 pm when a strange man approached her and hissed, “I will chop you up on this train.” The guy then did exactly that — hitting her with an unknown object wrapped in cloth and cutting her right hand, before fleeing, according to a report.

Police describe the guy as approximately 5-foot-9 and weighing around 175 pounds, with short, dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, green cap, green camouflage pants, and a backpack.

Authorities ask anyone with information about the guy to call (800) 577–8477, or submit tips by logging ontowww.nypdcrimestoppers.com, or by texting 274637 followed by TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
