Cops slapped an unlicensed driver with a summons after she hit a 3-year-old boy with her car while he was crossing 44th Street in Borough Park on Sept. 19, police said.

The driver was heading down 44th Street towards 14th Avenue just before 2 pm in a black Dodge Caravan when she struck the boy as he walked into the 44th Street crosswalk near the intersection at 13th Avenue, according to police.

Paramedics transported the boy to Maimonides Medical Center, where he remains in critical but stable condition, authorities said.

The driver, who remained at the scene, had the green light at the time of the collision, according to officers, who said she was initially taken into custody, but later released and given a summons for driving without a license when cops discovered she was behind the wheel without one.

The Police Department’s Collision Investigation Squad is still investigating the incident, according to authorities.
