Cut and dry
Cops arrested a 29-year-old man who they say robbed an 18-year-old on Oceanview Avenue on April 18.
The perp and the victim were arguing near Ocean Parkway at 10 p.m. when the suspect pulled out a knife and demanded money, cops said.
Police canvassed the area, found the perp, and arrested him later that day.
Hammer time
Two brutes assaulted a man with a hammer on W. 15th Street on April 15.
The victim was walking home between Neptune and Mermaid avenues at around 12:40 a.m. when the two perps approached him and began punching and kicking him, police reported. One of the two men then took out a hammer and hit the victim in the head, before fleeing toward Shore Parkway, cops said.
The victim was taken to Coney Island Hospital for treatment of his injuries, according to authorities.
Social scammer
A fraud stole $1,884 from a W. Eighth Street man on April 16.
The scammer called the victim, posing as a Social Security agent, and told the victim he needed to pay up or he would be arrested. The victim, who lives between Surf Avenue and Sheepshead Bay Road, sent the money at 1 p.m., using an online currency system, according to cops.
Slasher
Cops cuffed a man for allegedly stabbing his friend on W. 32nd Street on April 20.
The two men were in a verbal argument in the lobby of their apartment building between Neptune and Mermaid avenues at around 5:30 p.m. when the suspect slashed the victim on the forearm with a small knife, according to police.
Cop arrived on the scene within an hour, arrested the perp, and transported the victim to Lutheran Hospital, authorities said.

Two thieves broke into a W. 13th Street hotel and stole several televisions on April 14.
The weasels snuck into the hotel between Avenue P and Shore Parkway through the back window at 11 p.m., before grabbing the electronics and sneaking off, cops said.
Snatch and grab
A purse-snatcher grabbed a woman’s bag on Brighton Beach Avenue on April 15.
The woman was between Brighton Fifth and Brighton Sixth streets at approximately 1 p.m. when the perp grabbed the bag, which contained a phone and cash, and made off, cops said.
Electric scam
A swindler stole $788 from a 28th Avenue woman on April 16.
The perp called the victim, posing as an electric utility company employee, and told her they would shut her power off if she did not pay. The victim, who lives between Cropsey and Harway avenues, sent the money, using gift cards, at approximately 11:30 a.m., according to cops.
Extortion
A charlatan attempted to blackmail a W. Sixth Street man on April 16.
The victim received an email at his new account from his old email account at approximately 8 a.m. containing a naked photo of himself and his wife, with a demand for $350, or the con would post the photo on the internet, according to cops.
