Update: Suspect arrested in alleged Canarsie rape

Police arrested a suspect for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in Canarsie earlier this week, according to authorities. 

The victim told police that the 29-year-old man allegedly engaged her in conversation shortly before midnight on Nov. 11, before leading her into a building near E. 102 Street and Avenue and sexually assaulting her, according to police. 

The teen was transported to an area hospital in stable condition, and she was later released, cops said. 

Police arrested the suspect two day after the alleged crime, and slapped him with felony charges of rape, child endangerment, and sexual abuse. 

Authorities have left the investigation ongoing as they continue to search for anyone else who may have been involved in the incident, cops said.
