Caught off guard
A purloiner robbed a store on Nostrand Avenue on Jan. 14.
The ne’er-do-well walked in to the store near Avenue Z shortly after noon with his face concealed with a scarf and told the employee behind the counter, “Open up the register,” the victim told police.
At first, the victim didn’t realize what was happening, so the masked malefactor clarified, saying, “Open up the register and give me the money,” she told cops.
She opened the register and handed him $20, but he wasn’t satisfied, demanding she give him all the money, she told officials.
She put the drawer on the counter and the thief snatched $115 and fled the scene heading towards Avenue Y, according to authorities.
Bloody burglar
A nogoodnik broke into a woman’s home on Canton Court on Jan. 16.
The victim told police the lout broke the bedroom window of the home near Lois Avenue sometime between 6:30 am and 8 pm to get in, but didn’t steal anything.
The victim also found blood on the floor, she told the authorities.
Chic shoe snatcher
A thief ransacked an apartment on Avenue U on Jan.
The victim told cops that the looter busted the front door lock and raided his apartment near E. Eighth Street, nabbing designer shoes and cash, while he was at work between 8 am and 2:15 pm.
What a tool!
A bandit looted a man’s truck parked on Shore Parkway sometime overnight on Jan. 17.
The victim said that he left his vehicle near E. 21st Street at 8 pm, and returned at 7:30 am the next day to find some baddie had broken his window and bagged an electric screwdriver, a tool bag, a meter, and a cable tracker, according to police.
Surgical robbery
A snake stole cash from a chain store at Nostrand Avenue on Jan. 20.
The lout walked into the store near Avenue Y at 3:20 pm wearing a surgical mask and told the cashier, “I don’t want to hurt you, just give me all the money,” cops said.
He then simulated a gun and said “Hurry up,” after which the cashier handed over $600 before the scoundrel made a run for it towards Avenue X, according to police.
