A knife-wielding man robbed a senior citizen’s home in Midwood on Sept. 25.

Police say the 70-year-old victim was home when the robber entered the residence on East 4th Street, near Avenue L at 8 pm. The robber then threatened the victim with a blade to force him to open a safe, according to police.

“The victim stated the suspect placed a knife at the back of his head,” said a police spokeswoman. “The suspect asked the owner to take him to the safe.”

Cops say the perp stole $4,500 dollars from a man’s safe, then sped away in a black van.

Authorities say the suspect is in his 30s and was wearing blue jeans and a blue sweater or vest.
