Shots fired in attempted jewelry store robbery

Police are looking for three men who attempted to rob a Midwood jewelry store on Oct. 22.

Cops say the suspects, who all wore masks and black clothing, entered the Kings Highway shop between East 12th and 13th streets at 3:13 pm. One of the men whipped out a black revolver and shot at an armed security guard, but missed, officers stated. The suspects then fled without any jewelry, per a report.

The authorities have released surveillance photos in the hope that they might help the public identify the suspects.
