Party pooper

A sneak thief stole a woman’s purse at a party on Dikeman Street on New Year’s night.

The filcher took the victim’s purse, which had her bank cards and driver’s license inside, from the kitchen area of the apartment between Van Brunt and Richards streets between 11 pm on Dec. 31 and 3 am the next day, according to police.

Diaper thief

A bandit stole diapers from a pharmacy on Smith Street on Dec. 31.

The man took four boxes of diapers and made a run for it, but dropped two of the boxes while fleeing the scene at President Street at 12:15 am, cops said.

Pulled from her car

A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman on Pacific Street on Dec. 30.

The victim told cops that the suspect allegedly pulled her out of her car and threw her to the ground near Court Street at 9:30 pm.

The man was later arrested at the location at 10:19 pm, according to police.

Car bust

A prowler broke into a car on Smith Street sometime overnight on Jan. 1.

The victim parked the car near Huntington Street at 7 pm, and came back at 7:45 am the next day to find a phone and $20 missing from the car, and the rear driver’s-side window scratched, according to police. The vandal also broke the car’s navigation screen, police said.
