Let’s hope he wasn’t carrying anything fragile.

A subcontractor driving a van for the US Postal Service blew through a light in Gravesend on Thursday, right before he plowed into a woman’s convertible, ricocheted into two parked cars, and came to rest sideways with a stream of packages spilling out the back, according to eyewitnesses.

Stunned onlookers said they watched the man plunge his white van through the red light at W. Sixth Street at 12:40 pm, and smash his vehicle headlong into the Audi convertible.

Paramedics rushed the drivers of both the van and the convertible to Lutheran Medical Center, both in stable condition, according to a spokesman for the FDNY.
