Fall is descending on Brooklyn, but that doesn’t mean the fun is over in Coney Island.

Starting Saturday, Sept. 22, Luna Park will celebrate the new season with its 10th annual Halloween Harvest — a monthlong celebration of fall and everyone’s favorite spooky holiday.

Kiddos can race through hay bales on miniature farm equipment in Tillie’s Tractor Race, pick and decorate pumpkins, or get their faces painted with a spooky design. Luna Park is also bringing back balloon artists, who can make critters and objects of all kinds with a few twists, and caricature artists to capture the moment in pen and ink.

“Nothing beats autumn in New York and Halloween Harvest at Luna Park each year, a cherished tradition offering visitors the chance to create memories with family and friends that will last a lifetime,” said Alessandro Zamperla, president and CEO of Luna Park, in a statement.

Halloween Harvest will also feature a special seasonal menu, with pumpkin-spiced funnel cakes, fried oreos, and gelato; halloween-themed cotton candy and churros, and hot chocolate. Grown-ups can warm up with an Irish Old Fashioned, a pumpkin martini, or a “poison apple cocktail.”

On Oct. 21, Maniac Pumpkin Carvers will return to the boardwalk to carve an intricate custom design into a massive pumpkin in the middle of Luna Park, and visitors are encouraged to gather ’round and watch it take shape live.

The fun won’t end once Halloween rolls around. On Saturday, Nov. 18, Luna Park will launch its first-ever Frost Fest – a winter wonderland decked out with holiday lights and decorations. Through early January, visitors will be able to glide across an ice rink, take photos with Santa, shop for gifts, and enjoy locally-made seasonal foods.

“We are excited to announce our first annual Frost Fest at Luna Park, extending our offerings throughout the winter months and inviting our neighbors near and far to partake in holiday activities fun for the whole family,” Zamperla said.

Vendors interested in running a booth at Frost Fest are encouraged to reach out to the Luna Park team.

Admission to both seasonal festivals is free with a Luna Park wristband.

Halloween Harvest will run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays  from Sept. 22 – Oct. 29. Hours vary. Admission is free with a Luna Park wristband.
