Stan gets all international on us

First my president stated that Israel has a right to defend itself. Then Mr. Obama called the situation in Gaza “heartbreaking” and walked it back with repeated calls for Israel to do more to prevent Palestinian civilian casualties.

Dear Mr. President: Please tell the world how they are supposed to do that when the Hamas uses civilians as human shields. You might want to direct your comments to the folks who put the Hamas in office. They have pretty much the same problems that we have.

Certain candidates are elected and the people are stuck with them.

Nancy Pelosi claimed that the Hamas is a humanitarian organization. She gets that piece of unintelligence from Qatar, a strong supporter and supplier of funds for Hamas. Is Qatar a great source for reliable information? It is according to Miss Pelosi. I guess it truly is humanitarian to place children in front of rocket launchers to manufacture instant martyrs.

At this moment one of you will write and tell me that Mitt Romney said the same thing. Sure he did, about 14 years ago. I really don’t think that he feels the same way today.

Navi Pillay is a top United Nations Human Rights official. In her news conference, she condemns Israel for not sharing the technology of the Iron Dome Missile Defense System with Hamas. Hey, hang on Sloopy. Is she serious? Does she not know that Hamas is the enemy in this war and that this enemy is the bad guy that is shooting rockets into Israel? And now she wants Israel to give up the technology that is saving it from those rockets. Is she crazy or what?

At one time, Hillary Clinton had her information and statements prepared for her. Her staff demanded the interview questions in advance. Now it seems that she is shooting from the lip. In an interview about the Israel situation, she explained that Hamas is forced to fire the rockets from nearby civilians and schools because “Gaza is so small.”

Sure, Mrs. Clinton. Gaza is so small that the bad guys are forced to fire rockets from homes and schools and it is forced to store its weaponry and rockets in mosques and hospitals. My friends sitting close by watching me create this column are laughing so hard I am forced to stop. Your comments on Hillary’s statement are invited. Please keep it clean.

It is interesting to note that every Palestinian whose home was standing above a tunnel was not aware that it was a tunnel being constructed under his home. What did they think was being built? An I.R.T. extension?

A U.S. Marine is still being held by the Mexican authorities. For the umpteenth time, why has our president not acted on the matter? I am StanGershbein@Bellsouth.net asking, why have we not even heard from our president about this? To those of you who travel — please join me in a boycott of Mexico.
