A 17-year-old Sunset Park girl was struck and killed last week after trying to run across a busy Marine Park street with friends, police said. Brunida Santiago was pronounced dead upon arrival at the scene by EMS workers after a 2008 Mazda hit her while trying to swerve around her three friends in the left westbound lane of Avenue U off East 33rd Street, police said.
