A teenage straphanger was hit by a train inside the Atlantic Avenue terminal early Wednesday, authorities said.

The 19-year-old boy was standing on the platform at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center stop just before he was struck by a Manhattan-bound Q train at 5:50 am, an NYPD spokesman said.

It was not immediately clear how the boy ended up on the tracks, where he may have touched the third rail and been electrocuted, the spokesman said.

Emergency responders rushed the boy, whose injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, to Kings County Hospital, according to the police spokesman.

Police do not suspect that he was pushed onto the tracks.

Service was temporarily disrupted on the line in both directions and was restored nearly an hour later, a Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesman said.

During that period the Q train traveled over the N line between the Stillwell Avenue stop and the Dekalb Avenue stop.
