Step into a world where art breaks down its own barriers.
The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, returns to Brooklyn for its 15th edition from May 8–11, transforming ZeroSpace in Gowanus into an immersive celebration of creativity. This year’s fair shines a spotlight on documentary photography, embroidery and illustration — mediums as diverse as the artists behind them.
Unlike traditional gallery-focused events, The Other Art Fair is known for its commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, with a reputation for being eclectic. The fair aims to make art more transparent and approachable, allowing collectors to connect directly with more than 125 artists and view upfront pricing on all works.
“The 15th edition of The Other Art Fair Brooklyn continues our mission to make art collecting accessible and welcoming to all,” the fair’s director, Emily-Jean Alexander, told Brooklyn Paper. “With all artwork clearly priced, a wide range of mediums and sizes, and artists present to share their stories directly, we remove the intimidation often felt in traditional art spaces. It’s a celebration of diverse voices, bold ideas, and meaningful connections between artists and collectors.”

This year’s edition features a range of interactive experiences designed to welcome visitors into a creative, engaging environment. Attendees can book a styled portrait session with artist and New York Times bestselling author Anna Marie Tendler, set against a tableau inspired by her photography series “Rooms in the First House.” A scavenger hunt hosted by illustrative artist Joe Kraft invites guests to find hidden “Stamp Stations,” collect four unique stamps and unlock a one-of-a-kind artwork to take home.
In celebration of Mother’s Day, Summer Space Studio will offer hands-on workshops where guests can create intricate paper flowers to mark the season. Arts Gowanus will present a group exhibition, “Flowers for Mom,” featuring all works priced under $300.

Opening night and the late-night Friday showings will include live DJ sets, complimentary custom artwork from Ben Lenovitz on Thursday and OOH Baby on Friday, a machine-free tattoo pop-up, and more.
The fair opens Thursday, May 8, from 6 to 10 p.m. Additional hours are Friday, May 9, from 5 to 10 p.m. (“Friday Late” from 7 to 10 p.m.); Saturday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
