Thief swipes woman’s purse in laundromat

Clean swipe

A sneak thief stole a woman’s purse at a laundromat on Flatbush Avenue on Dec. 30.

The victim told cops she put her purse on top of a table at the clothes cleaner near Troy Avenue at 7:45 pm and turned around to fold her garments.

When she turned back five minutes later, she noticed that the bag was missing, according to police.

The victim then called her bank to cancel her debit card, but they told her that the lout had already made three transactions just after 8 pm at a convenience store and at a restaurant, totaling almost $100, according to cops.

Shady shades

A man took sunglasses from a Flatbush Avenue department store on Dec. 31.

The lout took three pairs of designer sunglasses and left the store near Avenue U without paying for them at 12:45 pm, according to cops.

Car burglar

A bandit swiped electronics from a woman’s car parked on Avenue U on Dec. 31.

The victim left her car and went to shop in a store at E. 58th Street at 12:40 pm, and when she returned about 20 minutes later, she noticed that someone had stolen electronics from the back of her car, according to cops.

The victim also told police that she wasn’t sure if she had locked the car and that there was no damage to the vehicle.

Lingerie louts

Four bandits stole lingerie from a store on Flatbush Avenue on Dec. 31.

The women took a kimono and a bra from the store at Avenue U and walked out without paying, according to cops.

Fine filcher

Police arrested a man for allegedly stealing goods from a department store on Flatbush Avenue on Jan. 2.

The suspect allegedly stole a jacket, shirts, and perfume from the store at Avenue U at 7:30 pm, and was arrested at 8:50 pm, according to cops.

Driveway car burglary

A sneak stole a man’s wallet from his car parked on E. 54th Street on the night of Jan. 2.

The victim parked his car in his driveway between Clarkson Avenue and Lenox Road and went inside his house at 11:15 pm.

He went to check on his car at about 4:30 am when he noticed the smell of marijuana, and found papers tossed around, which led him to notice that someone had taken his wallet and bank cards, according to cops.

He also told police that he assumes he failed to lock his car before going to bed.

Drilled!

A bandit robbed a department store on Avenue U on Jan. 2.

The crook stole five drills from the store at E. 57th Street at 8 pm, according to cops.
