Smash and grab

Three baddies assaulted and robbed a man on W. 11th Street on April 30.

The victim told police the goons pushed him off his bicycle, and repeatedly punched and kicked him while he was on the ground, between Avenues V and W at approximately 3:40 p.m. The robbers then stole a wallet and a backpack before running off, cops said.

Slashers

Cops cuffed two women who they say assaulted another woman on Mermaid Avenue on May 1.

The suspects approached the victim between W. 23rd and W. 24th streets shortly after 1 a.m. and began punching her, according to police. One of the perps then used a razor blade to cut the victim’s face, cops said.

Police arrested the perps, who were still in possession of the razor blade, later that day, authorities stated.

Home invasion

A home invader stole cash and a video game console from a W. 25th Street house on May 3.

The perp broke the front-door lock and entered the home between Mermaid and Surf avenues while it was vacant, between noon and 4 p.m., and stole the items, according to cops.

Unlucky winner

Con artists swindled an 86th Street man out of $23,460 on April 15.

The perps called the 60-year-old victim, who lives between W. Eighth and W. Ninth streets, at around 7 p.m. ,and told him he had won a $4.5 million lottery, and he needed to send them a deposit in order to collect his winnings, according to the report. The victim sent two checks before he realized the scam, cops said.

Online bank fraud

A charlatan stole $5,000 from a Brighton 14th Street woman on April 3.

The fraudster called the victim, who lives between Ocean View and Brighton Beach avenues, shortly after 11 a.m., and informed her that her social security number was being used in a money laundering scheme, police reported. The perp told the victim to deposit any money she had into a virtual currency bank account, and send the account details for safe keeping, according to the report.

The victim deposited $5,000, and sent the account information to the perp, who stole the money, cops said.

High-speed purse-snatcher

A highway robber stole a woman’s purse on Ocean Parkway on May 3.

The perp drove his motorcycle next to the victim, who was walking to work on the service road between Shore Parkway and Nixon Court at 6:40 a.m., before grabbing the purse and driving off, cops said.

Threat backfired

A con artist attempted to blackmail a Shore Parkway man on May 4.

The victim was chatting with the female perp online at approximately 4:30 p.m., when he sent her nude photos. The fraudster then demanded $5,000, or else she would release the explicit photos online. The victim refused, and contacted authorities, according to cops.
