Headed for bed
A trio of punks stole a comforter from an 86th Street store on Dec. 22 and assaulted two people who tried to intervene, police said.
The incident occurred around 11:30 am at the store between Bay Parkway and Bay 31st Street, where two of the baddies struck one person who tried to intervene with a metal pipe and punched the other in the face, police said. Emergency medical personnel transported the victims to Maimonides Medical Center to receive medical attention, according to the report.
Mean business
A pair of punks broke into an 86th Street business and stole more than $6,400 in cash on Dec. 16.
The break-in and burglary occurred at the business between Bay 23rd Street and 20th Avenue just before 9 pm, when the no-goodniks entered through the back door and used a crowbar to break into the cash machine and register, police said.
Sober up
Cops cuffed a man who was allegedly “swinging his arms violently” at officers — injuring one of the officer’s shoulders — while he was drunk on 21st Avenue on Dec. 17.
The alleged incident occurred between 85th and 86th streets around 1:30 pm, when police attempted to guide the man into an ambulance, according to the report, which added that he began swinging his arms and refused to cooperate. Police then tried to handcuff the man, they said, but he “became more irate and violent and tried to break free from officers’ grasps,” according to the report. Officers finally restrained and put the man under arrest, prompting one of the officers to injure his shoulder, the report said.
What a tool
A burglar broke into a 17th Avenue building and stole pricey copper tools and pipes from the basement on Dec. 17, police said.
The break-in and burglary occurred shortly after 3:30 pm at the building at Bay Ridge Parkway, according to the report, which added that the baddie gained entry to the building by repeatedly buzzing various tenants’ apartments until someone let him in.
Drove off into the night
A baddie drove off with a black 2008 Toyota Camry worth $32,000 from its 81st Street parking spot on Dec. 17, police said.
The theft occurred from the spot between 21st Avenue and Bay Parkway around 11 pm, according to the report.
While you were sweating
A thief stole a man’s wallet — with $250 cash and credit and debit cards inside — from an 86th Street gym locker on Dec. 18.
The theft occurred at the gym between 19th Avenue and Bay 22nd Street at around 6:30 am, according to the report, which added that the man told police that his locker had been locked.
Off on a safari
A good-for-nothing stole a man’s brown 2000 GMC Safari from 15th Avenue on Dec. 18.
The theft occurred from its parking spot at 79th Street at 4:30 pm, police said, adding that the owner of the car claimed he had its only set of keys.
Carjacked
A lout stole a man’s car — which police said had $800 cash inside, along with his phone and jewelry — from its Dahill Road parking spot on Dec. 19.
The incident occurred at 3:30 am between Quentin Road and Kings Highway, according to the report.
Busted through the door
A no-goodnik broke into a 14th Avenue home and stole $12,000 cash along with credit and debit cards on Dec. 19.
The incident occurred at the home at 70th Street around 1:40 pm, police said, adding that the perp damaged the doorframe with an unknown object when he broke into the home.
Can’t go home again
A no-goodnik stole a woman’s wallet — with $200 cash and her credit and debit cards inside — along with her house keys from the pocket of her coat at an 86th Street restaurant on Dec. 20.
The theft occurred at the eatery between 20th Avenue and Bay 25th Street around 8:45 am, police said.
Purse-snatcher
A lout stole a woman’s purse — with $250 cash and her credit and debit cards inside — while she was walking on West Fourth Street on Dec. 20.
The incident occurred at around 5 pm between 65th Street and Avenue O, where the perp grabbed the bag from the woman’s shoulder, according to the report.
