A cement truck driver fatally struck a 68-year-old woman in Borough Park on Tuesday morning.

Surveillance video shows 48-year-old driver halted at a red light on Utrecht Avenue, when the cane-using victim walks in front of the truck outside the crosswalk between 48th and 49th streets. The motorists, seemingly unaware of the pedestrians presence, resumes driving — striking the woman at around 11:48 am.

Dozens of first responders rushed to the scene, where they pronounced the victim dead.

The driver remained at the location, and police have made no arrests as the investigation remains ongoing, according to authorities.

The fatality comes just days after another motorist struck and killed a 70-year-old woman in a Canarsie hit-and-run, and three weeks after a driver fatally struck a 75-year-old pedestrian in Sunset Park.

The death is Borough Park’s first pedestrian fatality in over a year, according to Crash Mapper, which shows more than 150 pedestrian injuries in the neighborhood throughout 2019.
