Two men injured in East Flatbush double shooting: NYPD

A shooting in East Flatbush left two men injured on Monday evening, according to the NYPD. 

Police said they found the two victims near Rockaway Parkway and Rutland Road just before 6 p.m. on April 17, when they responded to a 911 call of shots fired at the intersection.

The first, a 32-year-old man, was shot once in the abdomen. The second, a 57-year-old man, was shot in the left leg. Emergency responders transported both men to to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where cops say they are in a stable condition.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.

In the 67th Precinct, where Monday’s double shooting occurred, there have been ten other reported shootings this year as of April 16, according to the most recent police data — down from 11 in the southern Brooklyn precinct this time last year. Last month, a gunman shot four people in broad daylight in East Flatbush, killing one victim and leaving three others injured.

Citywide, there have been 270 reported shooting incidents so far this year, down 23% compared to the same period last year, per police data.
