Two people are in the hospital after a driver smashed into another car from behind on Flatbush Avenue on May 26, according to police.

Police responded to the crash near the Marine Park Golf Course at 3:06 pm and found a white Infiniti that had hit a tree and a red Chevrolet Camaro facing Avenue V on the Beltway Parkway-bound side of Flatbush Avenue, according to police.

The driver of the Camaro went to New York University Langone Hospital in critical condition, while the driver of the Infiniti went to Kings County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the official said.

The driver of the Infiniti was traveling at a fast speed down Flatbush Avenue when it hit the Camaro, which was stopped at a red light, from behind. The Infiniti then careened into a tree, said the police official, citing a preliminary investigation.

There were no other injuries and police did not have a condition update on the Camaro driver on May 29, according to the official.

There have not been any arrests and the crash remains under investigation.

“The Collision Investigation Squad is investigating,” said a police spokesman.
