Two men wanted by police for questioning in Coney Island arson

The police are asking the public to help them identify two men wanted for questioning in regards to an alleged Nov. 29 arson on Brighton Beach Avenue.

The men allegedly approached a supermarket between Brighton Seventh Street and Coney Island Avenue at 2:30 am, when one man allegedly waited on a motorcycle and another allegedly entered the shop to threw two bottles full of a flammable liquid into the store. Both men then fled on the motorcycle. There were no injuries reported, according to police, and the employees of the store were able to extinguish the fire.

The man who allegedly threw the flammable liquid was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, and a black mask. And the man allegedly waiting on the motorcycle was last see wearing a black and white helmet, a black hoodie, red shirt, black jeans, and black shoes.
