Police arrested a man for allegedly murdering his own mother in their Flatlands apartment days before.
Cops on Wednesday cuffed the 54-year-old and charged him with killing his 75-year-old mom Hyacinth Khaleel, whom they found unconscious with multiple stab wounds inside the Kings Highway apartment the two shared on Monday, police said.
Authorities booked their suspect just after 6:30 pm within the confines of the 63rd Precinct, but a Police Department spokesman could not specify exactly where cops caught up with him.
Officers found Khaleel unresponsive with multiple slashes in her arms and legs while responding to a wellness check at her residence between Flatbush Avenue and Overbaugh Place, cops said.
Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene, and authorities deemed the death a homicide the next day, due to her multiple stab wounds, according to a Police Department spokeswoman.
But the city’s medical examiner has yet to determine a cause of death, according to a spokeswoman.
