Road rage
A pair of brutes assaulted and stabbed a man in a fit of road rage on 65th Street on Jan. 17.
The incident occurred near W. First Street at around 5:20 pm, when the perps cut off the victim — who told police he was driving towards W. First Street from Dahill Road — with their red Infiniti. The victim honked his horn, prompting the driver of the Infiniti to exit his car and approach the victim’s, where he punched him, causing scratching and redness to the man’s left lip, according to the report.
The victim then exited his car and the men began to assault him, causing him to fall to the ground, where one of the men pinned him to the ground with his knee before releasing him, police said. The men then fled in their car, according to the report, which added that the victim did not realize that he had been stabbed until he noticed four puncture wounds to his upper left leg until after the ordeal was over.
Got played
A lout swindled a 20th Avenue resident out of $3,000 on Jan. 14 by convincing her to withdraw the money from her account and transfer it to Google play cards.
The woman, who lives at 66th Street, told police the incident occurred at 9 am.
Can’t stay away
Police arrested a man who they say broke into a woman’s 80th Street home on Jan. 14.
The man allegedly broke into the home between Stillwell and 23rd avenues by breaking down the door just before 6:25 pm, according to the report, which added that the woman who lives in the home had an order of protection against the man, and that he may have had a knife.
What a tool
A lout broke into a white 2015 Ford car parked on Bath Avenue and stole construction tools sometime overnight on Jan. 16.
The theft occurred at Bay 37th Street at some point between 6:30 pm on Jan. 16 and the following morning, according to the report.
Better lock the door
A crook stole a woman’s red 2018 Infiniti from a Shore Parkway garage at some point between Jan. 16 and Jan. 18.
The theft occurred at the garage at 20th Avenue at some point after 1 pm on Jan. 16, according to the report, which added that the woman told police that the garage door is broken and that she had lost her second set of keys at an earlier time.
Had to hitchhike
A thief snatched a man’s iPhone 7 on Bath Avenue on Jan. 17.
The incident occurred at 11:15 pm at 18th Avenue, where the man had called a for a ride share. After grabbing the phone, the crook fled on foot on 18th Avenue towards Rutherford Place, according to the report.
Blinged out crook
A burglar broke into a woman’s Dahill Road home and stole an estimated $5,700 worth of jewelry on Jan. 18.
The incident occurred at the home between Avenue O and 63rd Street around noon, police said.
Big haul
A baddie broke into a 63rd Street home and stole electronics, jewelry, and video games on Jan. 19.
The incident occurred at the home between Bay Parkway and 23rd Avenue around 1:30 pm, police said.
Crazy ex
A man’s ex-girlfriend allegedly stole his mini Mac computer from his Cropsey Avenue home on Jan. 19 and sold it for $200.
The man told police he returned to his home between 17th Avenue and Bay 16th Street around 7 pm, and found the computer missing from his bedroom. When he confronted the woman, she told him she had sold it for $200 before fleeing in an unknown direction, according to the report.
Almost too easy
A thief stole assorted tools and a bike from a man’s car parked on Bay 17th Street sometime overnight on Jan. 19.
The man told cops he parked his car between Benson and Bath avenues at 6 pm on Jan. 19, and returned at 11 am the following day to find his door open and his tools gone.
Should’ve locked the door
A nogoodnik stole $200 from a 20th Avenue business on Jan. 20.
The theft occurred just after 12:30 am at the business between 63rd and 64th streets, where the punk entered by lifting the gate and opening the unlocked door, police said.
