Police are hunting for a would-be burglar who attempted to break into two Bedford Avenue homes in Sheepshead Bay on March 23.

The suspect first tried to enter a house near Avenue V through a rear-window at approximately 9:30 p.m., but fled when the 54-year-old female homeowner caught a glimpse of the clumsy cat burglar, according to cops.

About 30 minutes later, the perp, who police say donned a mask and dark clothing, tried to break into a different residence near Avenue V, but was busted by a 67-year-old man who was returning home at around 10 p.m., according to cops.

The unsuccessful burglar is described as a man, last seen wearing a face mask and all dark clothing.
